Summary: Glad I had a screen protector

Glad I had a screen protector, otherwise the drool could have shorted out the PSP. I love the big brothers of this game. They are wonderful. The graphics are, IMHO, comperable to the PS2 versions of Burnout and Burnout 2. Burnout 3 and Revenge did surpass though.

It is really a port/remix of the previous versions. Even though it came out at the same time as Burnout Revenge, none of the new features from it are included. This means, unfortunately, that there is no "traffic checking" and you can easily destroy your car if you switch back and forth between the games.

Pros:
• The graphics are close to the best the system has, I think.
• The game play is easy to pick up but with a stedaly increasing difficulty. (My 50 year old father got into it in 10 minutes.)
• The AI is decently aggressive.
• The music selection is GREAT, if it is to your taste. If you had the basic 32 meg memory card, you could fire this up and listen to the music for a while.

Cons:
• The graphic demand means that load times are high. Though that appears to be the PSP standard.
• Streaming music + UMD = Dead Battery. Turn off the music if you will be out of charge range for a while. With the UMD spinning continuiously, it is tough on batteries.
• Occasionally, the game will hit a load hiccup during a race and cause the system to freze for a second. This can lose a race for you easily.
