The Boxwave Minisync does exactly what it claims to do. It's a great little package that allows you to both connect the PSP and charge the console using your computer's USB port. I got mine with a car adapter which turns the Minisync into a car-charger for your PSP using the cigarette plug. I thought that was pretty cool.

My only complain about this product is that it's really cheaply made. The metal looks cheap. The plastic looks cheap. It feels really cheap in your hands. The whole item has that Shenzen street market/computer back-alley vibe about it. Although there doesn't seem to be any other product out there that have the features of this unit in such a compact size, I would say that the quality of the product did not justify the asking price.

I was hesitant after reading your review of it is cheaply made. Well you obviously have not compared this to other cables of this type first hand. I have tried them all for the psp and this thing is very SOLID. The connectors are high quality and the retracting cable mechanism feels very solid. It never gets stuck on me, and winds up perfectly every time. I had always thought it didn't matter with these kind of cables until I bought a cheap one off of eBay. It stopped working after a few months. So if you are looking for something that will last, this is the way to go.
I am really glad I took a chance, this was completely worth the extra money to me. Oh well thought I would add that for anyone considering purchasing this.
