While the concept of betting on yourself by wagering in a sports game isn't new it sure is in a martial arts game. This isn't a weak wrestling or beat em up either. The Con melds deceptively simple four direction control and 4 button attack to give a quasi 1st person view of a Tekken style action packed fight.
The graphics are average at best but the gameplay is where this one really shines. Somehow it keeps you hooked and wanting to advance farther and farther up the rankings to fight the various bosses.
Reminds me of Twisted Metal 2 (PSX) because it wasn't pretty and had only average controls but the action was deep and very intuitive.
The Con gives casual gamers a challenge on a tried and true formula by testing your ability to throw a fight convincingly and it gives Fighter Fans another "Must Have" title after Guilty Gear XX Reload.
