Summary: Seems to do the job
Previewed by Panther
Pros
• Shaped like a UMD so it can be stored as one so that is very handy.
• There is a removable cover for the brush to keep it clean when not in use.
• It seemed to clean my laser lens as promised, so that alone makes this item worth it to me. (I cannot 100% confirm that it cleaned well because my PSP was working fine, but after using it my regular movies and games seemed to play more quietly).

Cons
• It's so damn noisy! Scared me even when I first tried it because I thought something went wrong!
• There is no timer or progress indication. The instructions just say let it run for 3-5 seconds. I would like to see a laser lens cleaner like I have for my DVD or CD player where something actually plays on the screen. But as long as it does the job.
• The thing just feels "cheap" in the way it works. The cleaning head is just a bit of fluff where the lens hits and there is nothing all that high tech or complicated about the way it works (despite the way it looks).

Overall
I recommend this item. Considering it's the ONLY UMD laser lens cleaner I have found so far. I have dogs and cats and I take my PSP everywhere, so dust/hair is an inevitable result no matter how careful I am over time. My PSP is pristine though. I am hoping this cleaner will keep the inside just as clean. This definitely seems like needed preventative maintenance as I am sure eventually (like any laser reader) performance will degrade as micro particle get into it.

If it showed progress while it was cleaning, then it wouldn't be cleaning the lens at all.

I guess DVD and CD cleaners that do it just work by magic then. :-P
