I purchased the MadCatz Monstrous pack because it seemed cheap, came with a car charger, and had a few other things like UMD cases and a USB cable.
Well, at first, I found the pack great. I could hold some games/movies in the UMD cases instead of their boxes, had a better case than the "sleeve" included with the PSP, and had a car charger to use for those long trips. Everything was working perfect, the USB cable came in handy since it came with the package and let me download things like update 2.00/2.50 and even some music/movies.
Well, a few weeks later, the novelty started to wear off. The case, while durable to an extent, couldn't hold more than one UMD case, which meant that I'd have to keep them in my pockets, risking them opening and the disks getting scracthed. Then, it all started going downhill. The wrist strap on the case broke off, the headphones started to have a wierd fuzz noise in the bckground, and the car charger stopped working, all on one trip, 2.5 hours out of the 5 hour drive.
After having bought this product and enjoying it for a few days, I started to realise how cheaply it was all made. I started to ask around about other MadCatz products, and it appears that everything that they make is low-grade.
I would not suggest buying this, and would actually discourage people from buying it. The only things in it that made me give this game a double digit score are the USB cable and the UMD cases, but that is all.
Yep, MadCatz stuff has always been just about the cheapest peripherals you could buy, not sure if that in itself warrants poor quality, but if the shoe fits...
