A visor, a stand, a case, and a way of self expression.
For blocking out the sun it works pretty well. But you'll have to be realistic about it and recognize that the sun shows no mercy! So it's not like you'll be walking around with an umbrella over your PSP that's for sure. The lid does as well as you'd imagine.
For working as a stand it's been good but not great. Lately the hinge isn't as tight and it starts to spread a bit. Still stays up though.
For playing with the case on it works well enough. The hard edges may not feel so nice to some but to others you may find that the extra bit of plastic around your PSP enhances your game playing. Although the case puts weight on your PSP.
As a case to protect your PSP this is one hard case. I've dropped it purposefully (thrown it too) and by accident and the case doesn't pop open or shake and rattle your PSP around. Polycarbonate rules. Now if some brave soul would drop it from a skyscrapper...
For expressing yourself through inlays it's a no brainer. This is what, more than anything else, will keep you from throwing this somewhere under you bed. A feature I think that Logitech should have printed on the packaging somewhere.
My biggest complaint is that the PSP isn't actually held down. It sits in the case but can still fall forward and out. This isn't a huge problem but it would be nice to not have to worry about it popping out.
