Well what can I say..this is the best Ridge Racer to date. The game goes back and redoes the old classic Ridge Racer games with courses and soundtrack. There are new tracks and new music to the game. There are cars to unlock. The graphics are very impressive and they are almost upto par with the PS2 Ridge Racer V.

For the controls of the game, it is very similar to Ridge Racer Type R4 and the game;s emphasis is on drifting. The loading time are not bad at all, say wait 7 secs before you start a race. If you like Ridge Racer esp R4 then you will 100% love this game. Now for GT fans who hate RR, you may as well wait for GT4 Mobile to come out.

The only thing I dislike with RR PSP is how easy the computer is in the first 6 tours. Other than that, it's worth buying.

Is it just me - or do the first two screen shots have a rear view mirror at the top ?
My PSP version doesn't have that...

It does if you press the R1 button...Changes your view to first person and gives you a rear view mirror....
Otherwise you are in Third person view

its the only way to play it, 3rd person always sucks on racing games

its the L button for change view, R is for nitrous

oh, and going back to the review, theres at least 39 tours, so the first 6 being very easy is definitely not a big problem, in fact, i'd argue they only start getting hard once you reach the pro series and you must do the head to heads ( the angelus ones are especially hard)

I love this game.. I notice, that as I drift, the Nitrous charges... Anybody use the brakes to advantage?

brakes????? theres brakes???? hehe

seriously though, you dont need to use brakes simply turn in, lift off, car will start sliding and accelerate again (judging the amount of slide takes practice, but easy once you get used to it), good drifts boost your nitrous bars, but bad drifts (slide too far/erratic etc) wont.
