There are two tables to choose from for the Arcade mode, "Forest of the Fortune Teller" (easier of the two) and "The Morphing Avenger". There are two button settings you can use. When you start the game you are given four balls to play. Launching the ball is with the either of the shoulder buttons (L or R). There are lots of targets on both tables along with the ramps, bonuses, etc.
The main features of Forest of the Fortune Teller are the "Tarot" cards just above the three bumpers and the "Magic" which you have to light up at the bottom, two which are the drains. Just above the two flippers, it shows the amount of multipliers you are at. When you finish, with all balls are gone it comes up with a screen that show the tarot cards awarded for your score as "past" (8 cards), "present" and "future" (7 cards each).
With The Morphing Avenger which is the harder of the two, it has different ramps and targets to work with and the multipliers are different from before. You have something called a "Morph" that will change the "Person" (kind of looks like an Evis look-a-like) just above the flipper into different animals as you are playing, there are 5 different animals possible. The first time I did it, I was watching it change (morph) rather then where the ball was. Also they have target in the middle that has a "door" on it which I haven't found out what it does as of yet.
You also have timed games (called "Attack" for both tables starting with 1:30 seconds. With these you get multi-ball play to see how high a score you can make in the time given with auto ball returns.
Next is "Sharing VS" with the Morphing Averger, by the looks of it you can share the game with one UMD game (I'll find out more on this when I ask a friend to translate the instructions for me).
A High Score page and Options page where you can set the keys used, Sound off or on and for Auto Saves off or on and finally the Password (not sure what that does yet). You can pause the game with the start button at any time during game play. On the Sharing VS the manual gives very detailed instructions in eight steps on how to set it up for this.
Overall it's a pretty good game and as I stated above about holding the PSP the only other thing is the ball is very small and is difficult to see at times as it can move pretty fast at times on such a small screen.
Would I recommend this game? The physics seem right on and graphically it's pleasing to the eye and the music meshes well with the game play. So the answer would be a yes if you enjoy playing pinball, it will while away some time for you. As to is it perfect game, which game ever is, but it seem better then most of pinball games out there that I've played.
Hopefully this review will give you some more insights into making a knowledgeable decision if you want to buy this game or not.
