I am really impressed with the quality of this product. The PlayGear Amp sounds and looks good.
The Amp and all it's connectors fit into a nice bag/box that zips shut. Designed for the PSP, it can be used with anything really.
The speakers have a nice crisp sound. They get pretty loud before they start to distort. I think it sounds just as good, if not a tad better, than the JBL speaker ring that is out for the iPod.
I liked the smooth setup the speakers have. They are positionable and everything slides nice and smoth.
I didn't care for the way the PSP connects to the Amp. Basically there is a platic holder that uses friction to hold onto the Amp. The PSP uses gravity to stay in the holder. It felt kind of cheap compaired to the rest of the Amp. Plus a good bump would send the PSP falling out of the holder. You can use the PlayGear Visor with this product.
When everything is connected, it looks pretty nice. You cant use the PSP for gaming at all when it's connected. There's no real easy way to get at the controls to actually do any playing, but for listening to music or watching movies, this really puts the volume at an enjoyable level where the entire room can clearly hear the output.
