Already coming from a background from playing all the Ridge Racer games, this one surpasses them all! This was the first PSP game I bought with my PSP on the US launch date, and I have to say, that I made the right choice! Once I pop this game in, I was in shocked! RR utilizes the PSP to its fullest potential! Nice smooth graphics and gameplay, beautiful artistic sceneries, and amazing gameplay, adding the nitrous and drifting techniques!
For the soundtrack, there were a only few good tracks such as the tracks from R4, and "silver stream" but thats about it. Everything else is too Techno-ish or Happy Hardcore type. In Ridge Racer 1 & 2, you can play your own music cds during gameplay. It would of been really cool if the game did the same and allow you to play your own music tracks from the memory stick, but I guess the PSP hardware is not capable of doing so yet (although I read somewhere that you can. *Maybe in the future*).
I would definitely recommend this game to all PSP owners!
