First off I have to say that this has to be one of my all time favorite movies, so I'm trying hard not to be biased. You will need a good set of headphones for this one as the PSP's speakers just don't do the film justice. Without headphone the sound is unrecognizable at best, with all the gun fire, yelling and whispering you will lose interest because you’re going “What did he just say??". That problem is mostly the fault of the PSP, other than that little detail I can find no other reason not to go out and pick this one up other that its length and gore.
If you didn't know, the move is in the 2 hour range, which eliminates it from everything but long car trips or flights, but they are the perfect place for this movie. The well written story is ripped from a real event and make you appreciate what the troops that much more. And about the gore, if you can’t handle getting a shot then you’re not ready to watch people getting shot. There are some truly gruesome scenes, like the Delta guy who has half off his body blown off by a rocket or a surgery scene to clamp a Rangers cut femoral artery. All that aside this is truly a work a of film genius that works fantastic on the PSP's widescreen, and the movie tells the story without making the Rangers or Somalis seam like the bad guys. Two thumbs way up.
yeah, this was a pretty good movie. it was like a more modern day saving private ryan. it had a good cast of characters too although my favorite was eric bana, the cool delta force guy who goes back out. only bad thing about this movie was that it makes you hate the somalis to a point of being kind of racist. crazy movie though, worth a watch but still not worth buying on UMD my GB and my dvd burner seem more worth it then spending money on an endless amount UMD movies for 15-20 bucks a pop :P

Tried the burn-n-rip method onto my GB card and let me tell you first hand, ain't no quality of ripping that compares to dropping the $20 that you have to spend to get this brand new on eBay. The UMD quality blows any ripping software out of the water, and that's #1 when it comes to films of this genre.
This is by far my favorite movie, I own it in all formats so I didn't hesitate to pick it up in UMD format as well and I'm glad I did.

Good review!!"
i never had a problem with the quality of my movies and all i use is pspvideo9. if there ever would be a quality issue, it wouldnt bother me because i usually prefer watching it at home on the tv anyways. Spiderman 2 UMD came with my PSP and i've watched it once on my PSP. if i had this on UMD i would watch it once maybe, or once every 6 months at most and that just isnt worth spending 20 dollars when i could have the DVD for the same price and then transfer it to the PSP at no extra cost. UMDs are one way only while buying the DVD gives me access to the DVD and the option to put it on the PSP.
