Being tired of endlessly wiping fingerprints off my PSP, I decided to purchase a skin. I had almost settled on the Decal Girl skin when I found the review of Evolution's on this site. In the end, I decided to purchase this skin over the Decal Girl skin on account of the other reiview on this site, and the fact that Evolution had bothered to cut out holes for the power and wireless lights on the site. I have to say that this makes a huge difference for those (like me) who are big on attention to detail, and I am therefore glad I chose Evolution.
The skin is perfectly cut, and looks great on my PSP. I showed it to my room mate, and he automatically thought that I had bought a new faceplate. Like I said, everything matches perfectly. The only trouble I had was putting the thing on. I found that the easiest was was to turn on my PSP so the green power light came on, then setting the switch to hold, and finally matching the hole that the green light shows through with the cut out for the analog nub. Using this method, everything matched up on the first try.
This product is a MUST HAVE for PSP owners. With this and a screen guard, I no longer have any fears of getting those accidental scratches that seem to occur for no reason. In my opinion, the only downside to this product is the fact that it is not easily removed. Of course, this is what is intended- it only means that you need to make sure the thing is on RIGHT before you press it down. BUY THIS NOW!
I've had my DecalGirl on for months and months and I'm so used to it that a "naked" PSP looks funny to me. If Evolution don't have the patterns that DecalGirl has it's and easy choice for me.
It looks kind of weird to me. I've already decided to opt for a new faceplate, mainly because things like this just look like a big sticker on my PSP. The DecalGirl ones look better but not by a whole lot.
Just bought this product, didn't like the mirrored chrome, looked cheap, so I decided to take it off....holy crap!
Had to use a ton of "Opps Cleaner" on several q-tips to remove all the residue left behind, and I still have some sticky parts along the side. Thank God my DecalGirl sticker is on the way to cover up the imperfections that this peice of crap left. I had a screen saver on so that saved my screen from being wiped over with the Opps Cleaner, all in all it looks fine now, thankfully the Opps didn't remove the PSP or Sony logo from the face, nor did it remove the shine.
I would not wish this product on anybody....and if you have it on your PSP, hope you like it 'cause it ain't coming off my friend! Not without some major cleanup!
