Summary: Fantastic realism, the ultimate Rally game...

Colin McRae has to be the finest Rally game I have played on any console and I have played it on most other machines as well as Rallisport Challenge and Richard Burns Rally. How Codemasters have managed to squeeze all this into one UMD for the PSP amazes me. The game leans towards the realistic side of Rally driving and you really feel like you're there crashing and bumping about in one of those 30 perfectly reproduced cars. Tey even managed to add the classics like my favourite Mini Cooper S which is great fun to do handbrake skids and jumps in.

If you look carefully enough your and your co-pilots name are stickered to the rear side windows of your car. The lush, beautifully drawn landscapes with distance view that will have you pulling over and forgetting the Rally thing and just gazing off at the viewpoint.

The gameplay is huge with lots of Rally cars & country's, each with lots of tracks to challenge you. This game will certainly challenge, but this is not road racing, easy steering and arcade style driving, this is a simulation of Rally driving at its best, realistic handling and views with lots more. I would highly recommend this game.

So, how do you review something that has been released? Or it has, just not in the US? Is this what everyone's saying I should be reading into?

Love this on console.

what?!?!
how the hell can you complain?
what about the fact that the PSP was released in the UK nearly 6 months after the US (not that I cared, I imported a US one).
just get it imported over from the UK if you're bothered THAT much!

Yeah it's seriously unfair for ANYONE in the US to moan about waiting times, in light of how we waited nine months for the PSP, and having to wait in excess of six months for games across other platforms. Oh how i hope we get GTA ahead of you all.

it sucks that europe didn't get the psp until later but it IS unfair that we have to get all the games last. The US has purchased more psp's than any other country...where is the customer support..
+

09/10/05 bigstu
Of course you've purchased more! It's been out here a week! What a ridiculous thing to say!

It's safe to assume that us Europeans as ever will be last in line for most of the games released...you'd think you Americans could deal with us getting a small number of titles (that mostly EUROPEAN developers are making, incidentally) a matter of weeks before you are.

Oh...and we're paying a damn sight more on this side of the pond...so don't preach to us about a lack of support for customers...

LOL UK vs US now lol. lets stop this crap. we get a few games later then UK while they get most games and the PSP later then the US and Japan. let them have a few games first, i just wish they would just release games at the same times in UK and US

Exactly A bit of understanding right there! That's all us Brits ask for!
