| Summary: They are a good investment for protecting your games and movies.

The Madcatz Game Cases are good for preventing scratches when traveling with your games. They will prevent dust and other debris from getting to the disc. They are not really water tight, so don't submerge them in water. However, they do prevent from accidental spillage.
When dropped on a hard surface (like concrete or tile) there is a possibility that the case will open and the game can come out (that is usually when the case will land on the front edge where you open it). Normally the case will open slightly, but the game will stay put.
The one thing that I found difficult with them (only when first using them) was putting the game in and closing it. The game doesn't sit on the bottom of the case, but on four little ledges. I haven't seen these sold separately, but only in those Madcatz kits. For single game cases they are small and compact and get the job done. They are a good investment for protecting your games and movies.
