So I finally went and bought the game. I've only played maybe 3 hours of it so far, but from what I see it's probably worth the money.
Graphics are generally pretty spiffy. Aside from the fonts and menus, which look strangely askew, everything's smooth and has nice animation.
The music and sound effects are on par with the best of the graphics. The background music is designed to blend with the sound effects of you manipulating the blocks and it does a great job of this. Usually you end up just contributing to the music.
It's an entertaining game, no doubt. Think simplified Tetris (by concept only, actual implementation gets pretty complex when you have hoards of blocks on the screen) on acid with lots of nice animations, bright lights, and very amusing music and sounds.
