JavoEdge's UMD Cases come in a set of 6 with 3 different colours (white, purple, blue) with each case being quite clear and see-through. It's nice to see each case individually wrapped, this ensures that they're all clean and unscratched upon purchase.

Sadly, each case has a noticeable, pitch black JAVOedge logo on the front. It's one thing to put a logo on a big PSP case, but it's it's downright annoying and enough to put us off in this instance. Other companies have chosen either to leave their UMD cases blank, or have the logo be impressed into the plastic itself, thereby making it visible, but only if you look for it. In this case, you can't miss it.

Once opened, you'll notice that each case is intended to be opened from the side. We say intended because no matter how hard we pushed and pulled, we couldn't actually open the case as inteded! Eventually we were able to do so only by using our thumbnail to wedge open the two halves. In one attempt to open the case, we broke the snap that keeps things closed. In the interest of fairness, we went through all 6 cases -- some of them comletely split open on the side or part of the plastic on the lock snapped off. In the end, 3 of the cases were useless and 3 opened after an uncomfortable amount of effort.

All of this is a huge dissapointment, because once you manage to get a UMD in, the fit is perfect, and we wish all discs came in this format (faulty close mechanism aside). Like us, you might also find it hard to get past the unmissable JAVOedge logo in black which gets in the way of your disc, only adding to our overall frustration.

We're not sure what went wrong here -- this company has come out with some stellar products, but this is not one of them. Perhaps JAVOedge can get rid of the logo and fix the lock mechanism. Until then, don't waste your money.
