Chronicles is one of those 'pleasant surprise' movies: amazing that they actually committed so much money to it; amazing that it stars Vin Diesel and that that's a good thing; amazing the extent to which this sci-fi universe is fleshed-out and implemented; amazing how much fun this is on every viewing.
I've got both the Director and Theatrical versions on DVD (they are actually both good, but quite different -- in much the same way as the Daredevil movie editions), with the Director's cut having significantly more 'fantasy' elements. I just picked this up this weekend on UMD, as Circuit City had it on sale cheap, and I'll be on a 3 hour flight near end of year.
