| Summary: An elegant solution

Ahh the sweet smell of leather...
Pelican's leather holster case for the Sony PSP is quite an elegant solution. It has heavy stitching throughout, and uses a magnetic closure system to keep your PSP contained.
It provides protection with padded walls and elastic edges that mold to fit the PSP. It also includes a hand strap for carrying around. The magnetic clasp holds very well... I tried repeatedly to shake it open, even flung it by its hand strap... the closure held. (I used a mockup of the PSP to test this)
It does have openings at the bottom of the case which could let dirt in (they didn't go for a sealed pouch approach) However, I have not noticed any problems in that regard. One would also have to be a little careful when putting the PSP in, as it can be a tight fit. (I actually used some leather conditioner and stretched mine out overnight, which helped a lot)
All in all, if you are looking for a more refined solution (leather) for carrying around your PSP the Pelican leather holster is not a bad buy, at 14.95 USD.
*Note the pelican logo is not blue as in many pictures… it is just embossed in the leather on mine, which is nicer in my opinion.

If you had only one you can buy forever, which one would you choose: the one you reviewed or the all mighty Logitech case (which I preordered and am waiting impatiently on)?edited: Mar 30 2005

Neither if I have to have only one.
For "me" I prefer to be able to carry everything with me in as small a space as possible. However, for just having something to toss the PSP in, and go... the Pelican works very well.
Future cases I am interested in are... The Pelican road trip case, so I can store everything in one spot, and the Nyko Theater Experience case, since it seems like a pretty funky idea. Especially, if it would be possible to store that case, within the Pelican case.edited: Apr 01 2005

I'll get logitech case (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2362,CONTENTID=10181) as well as pelican all-in-one case.
