THUG2 Remix is a great game to pickup if you are just getting a PSP. I have to admit at first couldn't get into the game because of the controls, but after playing it a couple of hours it seems normal. The gameplay is the same fun gameplay that is found on the console verion of the game. It is packed with content such as: Story Mode, Classic Mode, a tttooonnn of create-a-modes, freeskate-highscore, and horse to name a few. The ability to import your face into the game is very cool. The graphics are very close to the PS2 version, and the framerate is very smooth.
My Scoring:
Gameplay: THUG 2 Remix is very fun to play, and the replay value is great. If your a fan of the series you won't be dissapointed. 9.5/10
Graphics: Very impressive, but skaters are sort of cartoonish. Still great though. 9.0/10
Control: Hard to control at first if u play Tony Hawk on consoles. Only lets u skate with the dpad. But u get used to it 8.0/10
Overall: If you are a hawk fan you wont be dissapointed, it is the same tony hawk with extra content. 8.9/10
Yeah, the d-pad seems very stiff to me, and turns seem to be wide with it, but yeah... you do get used to it. To be honest, anything can be forgiven as its TH on the go which is great.
yeah, great game. although if you have the console version already, it may not be worth $50 for you. I didn't get the console version so this is all good!
THUG2R Is the most addicting PSP game I have (which means I don't have Lumines, =P). I love it. If you're a TH fan or just casual gamer, this game is for you.
Well skateboarding is a sport. Sports repeat themselves. Therefor THUG2R is repetative, but that's what handheld gaming is for. The goals are supposed to be hard, that's what makes a game good. If you beat a game in 10min then what? Nothing, it's over.
Crazy, the goals are hard in places, yes. It's an incentive to get better. Like Mattochler says, it is a sport, so you will be doingthe same kind of stuff. As for Story... I've not liked TH4,THUG1 or 2 because of that fact, they don't need a story; I'll be playing through all of "classic" mode first just to avoid the crapola story
To be honest I'd rather have TH2 on the system but if THUG 2 is my only choice then it will just have to be.
one thing that annoys me is a glitch in the game, at one point your custom skater goes invisible and you gotta re-create him all over again and you end up skating on an invisible skateboard
