This thing sucks. It might just be mine that is messed up, and if so, please comment telling me so. It doesn't even work! I hooked it up to my USB and nothing popped up saying "new hardware found" (which is usually does). So I didnt think a thing about it and opened "my computer" and looked for it.... wasnt there. at this point i am angry, so i slam my psp on the ground and throw my monitor on top of it! not really, but i was pretty heated.

pros: well the package says 4 things, i will tell you which are true.
High Data Rate Transfer - no
USB1 & 2 compatible - well it does fit in the usb slot but doesnt work
4 foot cord legnth - yes
product warranty 5 years - i guess

2/4 isnt very good

cons:
short cable
doesnt charge psp
did i mention it doesnt work?

I had this cable and it's been working great!

1. If you just hook this USB cable up to your computer, you won't see anything "new hardware found" balloon. You have to set your PSP to the USB mode.
2. This USB cable supports USB 1.0/2.0. This means depending on your computer USB slot itself (I know PSP mini USB slot is USB 2.0). If your computer is pretty new, then it should come w/ USB 2.0 slot.
3. Charging PSP w/ this cable... even though it says it can, but I won't try it out. I stick w/ whatever charger Sony provides. Won't try any other way.
4. High speed or not, again, it depends on your computer USB slot. USB 2.0 is better and faster than USB 1.0.

My 2c...

This Pelican USB cable works just fine and for only $4.99 (WalMart) it's a must have item.
It charges the PSP (a nice plus) and keeps the battery topped off while transferring long files to the Memory Stick from the PC.

Worth getting...I recommend it .

Hey man, to use to psp on your pc you don't simply plug in into a usb port you must first exit any games and return to the xmb (cross menu bar/bootloader) the move to the settings tab (far left) then select the "USB Connection" Option, your psp should now show up as a removable usb mass stoarge device and use your next unused drive letter.

I think its a good idea I bought the usb cable for $10 (rip i know) but you can charge it at the same time which is great! and that it supports 1.0/2.0, and i'm agreeing with daDude 2.0 is better.
