I bought this because when I first got my PSP I thought it would help if I were to carry the system in my pocket. I did carry it in my pocket for awhile and the cover did help. There is a small amount of padding that keeps the cover from scratching the face. It only added a small amount of bulk and looks pretty good.
The big problem I had with this cover are the screws that hold it on. The screws are big on the top and they restrict the UMD door from staying latched. Also, you cannot use the cover to prop up the PSP to watch movies.
If you are just going to carry your PSP in your pocket and don't want a lot of bulk, this may be for you. It does look good, except for the screws, and it does a pretty good job of protecting the face. I would recommend getting something a little better in the "whole system" protection area.
