Summary: Best portable version made

This is easily the best portable version of Puzzle Bobble, but then the competition isn't that great. There's the GBA one, NGPC one, I think a GBC one too and maybe a regular monochrome GB one. The key part in playing this series is how good the bubbles look so you can properly line up your shots with the appropriate color. The PSP has good color but it falls into the same trappings as all the Puzzle Bobble sequels. It doesn't have the simplicity of gameplay the first did. You still have weird new bubbles that do weird things that you just don't really get, need or want.

The first arcade game is still the best. Clean, colorful bubbles, simple game design, no frills, just good gameplay. But if you need a portable version, this is as good as it's going to get.

Audio and graphics are standard for this type of game. Nothing noteworthy here. Gameplay is good except for what I've mentioned.

Everything's in Japanese but it's easy to navigate your way to the game. Save option's here. Other than that, if you want Puzzle Bobble or Bust-A-Move on the go, get this or wait for the US version. Not worth that full $40-$50 pricetag but what can you do?
