Wipeout Pure is a fantastic game. In my opinion, it is the best launch game that came out with the PSP. The gameplay is great, with controls that take some getting used to, but are possible to master. You have great control of your ship. The load times are pretty normal, not noticeably fast or slow. The graphics are fantastic.
Every once in a while, take time for a free run and just go slow and admire the landscapes. People don't notice the wonderful graphics because we are all flying through the courses. The sound is great, with an awesome techno soundtrack from big names. Very cool hovering engine noises, and great explosion and impact sounds.
One could argue that it is not deep, and gets old. But when you consider the unlockables and gamma packs, this is a game that will keep you coming back as much as the next one.
Overall, a great value and game.
