Summary: Trade off between transparency and glare

I had the Brando, and it was pretty good, but the glare was annoying. So I got the Javo anti-glare version. As with everyone else, it isn't 100 percent transparent, BUT, it does do a pretty good job reducing glare. Before, I remember having a real hard time in any area that was bright, but now I can play it in a lot more places. Still can't play under direct sun light, but that is to be expected. But where as before I'd have to find a corner of the room where the sun didn't hit to play in, now if I am indoors, even if there is sun coming in on me, I can play okay. So, it is a trade off, transparency vs glare removal. I think if you actually travel with the PSP, you will find this useful. If you sit at home and play your PSP, you'll probably be better off with a 100% transparent protector.

One word of caution, because it is not 100% transparent and impacts the quality of the screen display, if you use the PSP to play games or display moving images, you probably won't notice it much. But if you use the PSP for static images (ie, showing pictures), you will definitely notice it.

The anti-smudge is yes and no, yes because it does make the screen much more finger print resistent. No because since it is not 100% transparent, you can't polish the protected screen to that super shiny clean anyway.

Scratch resistence I don't know about... I am not sure what it is, but it is either a small scratch, or a little dust under mine. Of course I am too scared to peel it off to see if it is dust, because that will probably lead to many more dust particles getting trapped.

Ease of application? Again, nothing special. I did the hot shower thing, it was about as easy/hard to apply as the Brando. Aligning such a big piece protector was my biggest problem. I don't know why they didn't just give 2 protectors like Brando does, one that covers the whole face, and the other that just covers the screen.
