| Summary: Does the job, and does it well!

I am very happy with it. I drained my PSP immediately after I bought it on Mar 24th morning (I opened it in the car and locked all doors!) by watching Spiderman 2 on full volume and full brightness.
From full drain, I started charging the battery with my Mad Catz car charger, and drove around for 45 minutes or so. I had errands to run, so i figured what the heck. After that, I checked the battery level in my settings, and found it at 78%! That's fast!
Cons? The part that goes into the cigarette lighter is a bit BULKY, and the cord is over 6 feet long! Not necessary.
I can't speak for other company's car adaptors, but I know this one did an amazing job.
I have to say I'm really happy with them. They hold a single UMD each, and when closed, keeps all dust out. But don't drop em in water (why would you anyways?) cause water WILL seep in. But it does a great job of keeping stuff out if you spill something on it. In other words, water-resistant, but not water-proof.
The only complaint that I have is that when you place the UMD's into the case, it takes a bit of work to fit them into the case properly. They don't click in or anything, so you can't tell if it's in right until you close the case. If it closes properly, you aligned the UMD right, if not, try again. =)
They do the job, even though they feel a bit cheap. But what do you expect from Mad Catz, right? I'm very happy with these.
This is the highlight of this Monstrous Pak by Mad Catz. I carry this case with me everywhere I go. It is made of a fairly hard rubber material that feels like it could take a few drops. The inside is lined with a soft felt. There is a Mad Catz logo on the lower right side of the top of the case. It has compartments for the PSP, 2 UMD Discs, 2 Memory Stick Duos, and a netted area for accessories (or 2 more UMD Discs!). This case looks just like the AERO Case, with some minor differences. It has two zippers that completely close the case. It also comes with a handstrap that attached to the case. But I wouldn't recommend swinging the case around, as the place where the hand strap attaches is fairly flimsy.
The PSP is separated from the accessories/umds by a separator that flaps over the PSP unit. The part that touches the PSP is a soft felt that doesn't scratch the screen. This separator also has a velcro piece that is attached to a flap protruding from underneath where the PSP goes. This secures the separator and keeps the PSP from moving when connected.
On top of this separator is where the two UMDs and memory sticks are stored. The two UMDs are held in place by an elastic similar to that in the waistband of jogging pants. They are held separately and very securely so they cannot move, unless you take them out, of course. On each elastic, there is an built-in flap for you to place your extra memory stick duos.
Finally, on the roof of the top of the case, there is a mesh where you can store PSP accessories (headphones, cleaning cloth, etc.) I personally use this area to store TWO more umds! This mesh, however, is not as secure as the UMD compartments, and stuff WILL slide around. So it's best to put these UMDs in the Mad Catz cases (which come with the Monstrous Pak!) before closing the case.
This case is great for carrying your PSP, UMDs, memory sticks, and accessories. Even when you fill the case to capacity, the zippers close to ensure a safe seal. This case is NOT water proof, and barely water resistant, so keep it dry. I do not recommend you hold the case primarily by the hand strap. It could tear out after time.
Standard USB Data Cable for the PSP. I can't imagine this costing more than $5 when purchased alone. Works perfectly. A great addition to a well put together starter pak.
Standard MadCatz earphones that come with all their different Paks. It comes with a case for easy storage. It's one of those that you can wind with the tip of your finger. But the buds do not fit into the brackets properly, so they slide and click around if you shake the case! These earphones were not made for this case.
The earbuds themselves are of good quality. They are black with a metallic silver tinge on the center of each bud, so they match the PSP really well. The sound quality I found better than the stock earphones that came with the PSP Value Pack. But they DO crackle when you blast the volume.
This Pak comes with 4 screen protectors/shields and a soft card to help apply them. Took me a few tries to get it on properly, but it was worth it. They don't use any adhesive chemicals, so you can take them off and leave NO residue. But they cannot be reused. Once you take it off, they're done. Not as good as the Martin Fields, but way better than the Hori's.
This Monstrous Pak is an incredible deal. You get everything you need to get you started. And at the price tag of under $25, you can't ask for anything better. Well done on an amazing product!

sounds good, $25 for screen protectors, case, umd boxes, earphones, and ac adaptor. i was wondering what comes with the regular stock psp stuff? and how durable is this stuff, because like all mad catz things ive dealt with, they lasted about 6 months and broke. my xbox controller is completely haloized and has a stuck grenade button and the right trigger is always fireing...

OK, I made a huge error in my review. The headphones that come with this Monstrous Pak are terrible, they're too quiet and don't provide any bass whatsoever. I don't know why I said they were good. Maybe because I dislike the white ones so much! Sorry for the confusion!edited: Apr 06 2005
