| Summary: Elegant and easy to figure out solution to syncing content to PSP

I have tried many pieces of software since getting my PSP in the quest of making the most out of its many features and PSPWare has to be my favorite. Its main strength is its elegance. It is a very clean and well designed piece of software that sticks to doing a few things and doing them well.
When I first tried the software and saw the interface I was impressed. I've tried most of the other programs out there and this is by far the best looking. It is very intuitive. It launches itself automatically when you connect your PSP. It has seperate buttons for each of its functions: Music, Photos, Movies, Backup, and Advanced. The Music section will automatically intergrate with iTunes, which is nice. Photos is very simple to use. Backup creates running backups to all your games. Very nice. Advanced lets you get under the hood a little if you wish. And now the best is saved for last... Movies.
You can just simply drag and drop most any format into the movie section and it will automatically convert it to the proper format and you can even choose between 16:9 output or 4:3. Under options you can choose the quality of the audio and video so that you can fit it on your memory card. If you intend on watching full length movies, you should at least have a 512MB card or better yet 1GB. The ease of use and speed of the conversion process is what sold me on PSPWare. After going through the agony of trying to get other programs such as 3GP Converter, a program like this is amazing.
Now for a few minor gripes or suggestions. The program needs a progress bar over the video section. When converting huge files it would be reassuring to know approximately how much time is left in the process. It would also be nice if the program would recognize available memory on the memory stick and warn before you start converting if it wasn't going to fit. Finally, can the Registration button disappear once the product has been paid for? I know, very nitpicky, but it bugs me.
Overall, a wonderful program that I was happy to pay 15 dollars for.

Well, basically PSPWare is designed to sync with your psp, so of course it is going to erase anything that you don't put in it to sync. Works just like iTunes does with an iPod. Backup any movies, mp3, pics, savegames etc. on your card before you perform a sync. It has a great game backup feature that everyone should be using. I can't imagine accidentally losing my game saves.
