Summary: Great Game, but Horrible Wireless Support

I got my hands on Twisted Meta: Head-On yesterday, and i was extremely excited. I popped it in and waited for the intro movie. When it finally came, I was in shock. The graphics for this game are extremely well done. I started off with some single player story mode. Everything is well balanced... except that gameplay seems way too fast paced. When you turn around to meet somebody to shoot at them, there are already long gone and you have to resort to your radar to find them. This makes gameplay extremely difficult. And a word to the wise, don't use the analog. Your car loses pretty much all of its handling too, but since cars have secret abilities by pressing a sequence of buttons on the D-pad you won't want to use it anyway.

Luckily for me, I have a wireless router in my house. As soon as I started up the Twisted Metal multiplayer, I was extremely dissapointed. When I could connect, I was shortly disconnected afterwards. I could view the lobbies but everytime I joined a game, I got disconnected. It got extremely frusterating after 25-30 failed attempts. Thouroly mad at the game, I pulled it out and popped in Spider Man 2 (The Movie)

Pros
Awesome replay value
Fun and exciting story

Cons
Analog isn't worth anything
Speedy gameplay
Wireless connection problems

I tried playing online last night, it was pretty fun. I was lucky enough to finish out the entire game without it disconnecting.

also, you guys should try to TURN OFF the WLAN POWER SAVE mode in the system settings, this may help the constant disconnecting.

yah i have actually all the time all u do is host the games yourself but first u have to turn the WLAN power save off in power save settings. Just host a game and dont let anyone in with high ping like over 150

Yes... As far as connection strength goes. I sit at about 85% with it off, and about 40% with power save on.

But I still freakin disconnect every time I try to play...

I was toying with the idea that there may be firewall issues with mein home network...

well this topic sorta died, but I gotta say that if you go on now, I don't think you will have connection issues any more. I just got the game today, I have been playing online for hours. There's an average of 70 to 80 people online at a time, I don't get lag, and I'm leeching off of a neighbor's wireless with 50% connection strength.
I only got booted out once and this was during a two hour play time.
