Summary: Here's to the Coded Ones

The first first-person-shooter (FPS) for PSP is the standard for any other game to try and take its place. It’s like the Halo for handhelds.

Playability/Controls - 80

It is a game that will take time to get accustomed to, with only one analog stick, you will find it difficult to move your character around with the X, O, /, and Square buttons replacing what would normally be the right analog stick. Try experimenting with the sensitivity and it’s like moving your character around with two D-pads (I don’t like analog sticks much so I use the D-pad most of the time). The L button jumps, it will take a while to get used to not hitting ‘X’. These problems aren’t really the deciding factor in the game’s playability and once you get accustomed to the controls (It’s for a handheld FPS) this will become one of your favorite shooters.

Graphics - 95

Probably the best graphics I’ve seen on the PSP thus far (I own four games because I’m poor.) The explosions are good, the weapons are realistic and the enemies can be taken seriously. Not much else to say except this game uses the PSP’s hardware to the best of its ability and is a fantastic looking FPS.

Loading time - 100

After playing NFL Street 2 on the PSP, it makes the short loading times even shorter. For anyone else it is still one of the quickest loading games you’ll find for your PSP.

Sound - 85

You’ve got the PSP speakers to deal with, you won’t have 5.1 surround sound, but the sound is still good. The guns sound realistic (the realistic guns do, anyway) and even the plasma and light weapons are believable. The screeches of the enemies aren’t unbearable either.

Multiplayer

I don’t know anyone at the moment that has this game besides me, so I can’t review the multiplayer. It features the classic Deathmatch, Keep the Mark (King of the Hill) and Last Man Standing (Elimination). I am disappointed that there is no Capture the Flag however.

Its a good game for sure, it starts off slow and really eazy but as you get more into it you won't be able to put it down.

why have i heard nothing good about this game except from an old roomate who is biased because he got his game for free..
i still say Dead 2 Rights is better jsut from what i have played.. even though dead 2 rights takes no time what so ever to beat.
