Not the worst device ever but very close to it. The structural integrity of the unit is quite exceptional. Made of alluminum, and clasps that keep the PSP enclosed, one has no need to worry about damage to the PSP.
There are two rubber coverings that block the audio and power ports, these are sub-par but tolerable.
My complaint is the sound. As soon as the PSP is in the unit, a high pitched hissing sound comes from the speakers! What is this, NYKO? Did your engineering department not take Electrical Circuits 101? There is obviously something wrong with the wiring of the unit. I will not void my warrenty and tell you what needs grounded better, but there is/are some wire(s) that need it.
Due to the simple fact of the sound quality, I advise no one to buy this unit. It is defective. This could account for the shortage of units at all Gamestops (only 500 shipped with 2,000+ on pre-order).
NYKO has delayed this unit since April. Surely they could have fixed a simple ground problem in this amount of time. Unacceptable product, NYKO.
