Summary: Great Game to buy... and only to buy!

CODED ARMS was hyped by many people to be the best PSP game ever. Did it live up to this hype? Well, in my opinion it did. I really love the game. So lets get down to business.

Playability: 9/10
The game is very fun. Sometimes it can get very tactical. Like when you go to the next level with little health. But most of the time it is pretty much a shoot-em-up game. It is very entertaining when you know someone else with the game. The multiplayer mode is very nice. The replay value on the game is definately there. The random level generater doesn't really do much to this though. But I have found myself playing the game over and over.

Loading Times: 10/10
Well, thats pretty much enough to be said besides the fact that the loading times are very short. This is useful when you are on the go and don't have much time to play.

Graphics: 7/10
The graphics in this game are amazing. The framerate throughout most of the game will be perfect. But there will be times when you definately notice a great drop in the framerate. There will also be times when looking at corners on walls and ceilings make them appear a little choppy. But overall, the graphics are pretty nice!

Sound: 8/10
The sound effects and music in the game are great! The music will start to pump up your blood when you are near an enemy. The sound effects will also do this. But the only problem is that the sound effects can sound a little cheesy at times, which does take away from the overall score for the sound.

Overall Value: 8.9/10
The game is very entertaining, and I extremely suggest getting it, not renting first. If you rent it first, you will find yourself addicted and wanting to buy the game as soon as possible. Then that would have been around 5 USD down the drain.

A nice gaming laptop weighs close to 8lbs maybe even more. So i dont think its portable in the way psp can fit in your pocket portable, hehe

very worth getting! if you play past the first 3 parts in sector 1 u then get to sector 2 and the randomization starts looking like real levels and the detail and enemies keep getting newer. The bosses are massive! im fighting one guy right now that reminds me from resident evil! its insane! At first coded arms is repetitive i agree, but i find it ok becuase i am getting used to the controls and game play, but once u move up to sector 2 u have a ton of weapons from napalm rockets to all sorts of grenades to shotguns to assault rifles and laser charge ups. This is one of my most favorite action packed games as of yet. Only problem i had like i said earlier and otehrs have said is no infastructure mode and the ability to just do multi player with bots.

PS gi0rgi0 i never compared the psp to a laptop, that would be pretty dumb. I was stating how a portable and home station type of device can compared in my opinion such as psp and ps2, or a laptop and a desktop. That is all just clarifying, enough with this crap :-p

Well i just got this game and i cant wait to play it again.....i think in the single player the weapons you get are randomly generated because my brother got the game also and he got the grenade first when i got the sniper rifle first. The game is FREAKING AWSOME! The controlls im still getting used to and i have found myself playing with layout b instead of c, reminds me more of the N64. Please tell me what you ahve for sensitivity acceleration for movement just to see if i have the right speed. I LOVE THE GAME !!!!! The idiots that reveiws this game bad are, well idiots..

I have been pleasingly surprised with Coded Arms and have been waiting for it a while now. It has not dissappointed me one bit. (My wife hates it though) hehe. I do recommend that peeps buy it and am confident they will be happy with it, especially for a portable game. Next on the list is SoCoM.

Likewise, I bought it today and I'm actually very satisfied with it.. I'm usig control A because the Lefty analog aiming is dyslexic to me. Analog Strafe/forward/back and buttons -> up/down/turn.

Seems to work very well and isn't confusing... (coming from a mouse/keyboard veteran)
