Summary: Great Game to buy... and only to buy!

CODED ARMS was hyped by many people to be the best PSP game ever. Did it live up to this hype? Well, in my opinion it did. I really love the game. So lets get down to business.

Playability: 9/10
The game is very fun. Sometimes it can get very tactical. Like when you go to the next level with little health. But most of the time it is pretty much a shoot-em-up game. It is very entertaining when you know someone else with the game. The multiplayer mode is very nice. The replay value on the game is definately there. The random level generater doesn't really do much to this though. But I have found myself playing the game over and over.

Loading Times: 10/10
Well, thats pretty much enough to be said besides the fact that the loading times are very short. This is useful when you are on the go and don't have much time to play.

Graphics: 7/10
The graphics in this game are amazing. The framerate throughout most of the game will be perfect. But there will be times when you definately notice a great drop in the framerate. There will also be times when looking at corners on walls and ceilings make them appear a little choppy. But overall, the graphics are pretty nice!

Sound: 8/10
The sound effects and music in the game are great! The music will start to pump up your blood when you are near an enemy. The sound effects will also do this. But the only problem is that the sound effects can sound a little cheesy at times, which does take away from the overall score for the sound.

Overall Value: 8.9/10
The game is very entertaining, and I extremely suggest getting it, not renting first. If you rent it first, you will find yourself addicted and wanting to buy the game as soon as possible. Then that would have been around 5 USD down the drain.

i agree i really enjoy this game too. The ont thing should have been mentioned though is 2 things. I wish it had infastructure mode and also the ability to play multi player with just AI bots. Would have made it perfect for me

Love the game... a technical achievement given it's a portable game. From HALO2 to this, you really have to adjust your expectations though, especially with the limited movement with one analogue stick and four buttons!

Then play it on your PC idiot... This is for PSP. I don't like some people that compare the PSP and its games to a console or a PC because thats not what it is. It is a handheld gaming console. People should compare it to a GBA SP or a DS. Anyway, yeah it is a really good game. Nice review too.

i didnt compare it and dont go name calling i commented on this review and game earlier. And as for your comment in relation to consoles, the psp has more potential power then the ps2 so you could compare it to such in many aspects. Only primary difference is the fact that the umd has 1.8gb which with current compression seems to be porting games over pretty well.

Yes but the PSP is HANDHELD, while the PS2 is a HOME CONSOLE. That is the main and biggest difference.

wtf is the difference. laptops are replacing desktops and those were origianlly only sitting at home. SAying its portable means nothing. gameboy had more technology then the flight on the appollo mission. DOesnt matter where the power is, just how u use it.

melloncollie is right. Yet there are ways to compare every single thing on the planet to one another BUT thats just insane. So let the insane compare their silly objects: apples and peanuts, pizza and cotton candy, " appollo mission and gameboy," laptops and desktops, HANDHELDS AND CONSOLES/PC.

insane? yet its done all the time now to see which is better portable or home base. Either way i agree to disagree and i dont want to ruin this thread

Syntax010011, you're wrong. People think this is suppose to replace the home consoles. Was the GBA suppose to replace N64 or GC? I don't believe so. With a PS2 you need a T.V. or compact LCD screen, all of a PS2's cords, and a controller. Therefore making it not so very playable on let's say a bus. While a PSP you can play anywhere. People overestimate the PSP and that is exactly why some people are disapointed. I mean I don't see people comparing a DS with a Gamecube. Why should we with a PSP and a PS2 or a PC. I mean a laptop is portable yes but is it the size of a PSP? No, no it's not. If you want to play Halo on a PC buy a laptop and get a PSP, and don't post on this PSP site because that is what this site is for, PSP. Not PC's. I mean how could you compare a portable game with a PC or home console game? It is asinine to do so. Of course Halo for PC will be better. A PC is much more powerful than a PSP. So it is pointless to even write that comment. Once again if you want to talk about PC's then post on a PC forum. If you wish to talk about PSP's then post here. A simple rule that you obviously did not follow.
