| Summary: Read this before you make a huge mistake!
1
I spent literally 8 hours trying to properly apply this screen cover. I assumed that since I was armed with a microfiber cloth, a professional can of Dust-Off, and a squeegee card that the installation would be a piece of cake. (The fact that the company said the installation would be easy also contributed to this.) Boy I thought wrong! I found several things out the hard way:
1) Yes the JAVOscreen is quite clear, and if it wasn't for all the annoying and impossible to remove air bubbles, maybe it would have been worth the money I had spent.
2) The JAVOscreen is a dust magnet! So if you want your screen to look good, without all the dust and hair and all that junk stuck under your cover, make sure you get it on right the first time.
3) The instructions that come with the JAVOscreen are incredibly brief and do not provide the customer with any useful hints or additional information.
4) Attempting to successfully apply the JAVOscreen is futile.
Even after following the email that I received from Customer Support, I was still unable to get this piece of crap on my precious PSP.
JAVO said: "Hello Steven, Thank you for your inquiry.
You may wash the JAVOScreen in cool running tap water. To reduce/eliminate air bubbles during installation, I suggest leaving a small amount of moisture on the JAVOScreen during reapplication. Simply flap the JAVOScreen dry after washing and apply. I suggest using a dust free environment during installation. A good place would be in a steamy bathroom after you have taken a shower."
I wish a review like this had been up before I made the idiotic mistake of ordering this “Ultra Clear” screen protector, but now all I can do is pray that others read this review before throwing their money down the gutter.
But on the flip side, if you have tons of money that you are just dying to waste, and you enjoy getting frustrated till the point that you feel like killing family members, then the JAVOscreen 2.0 is the screen protector for you!

haha, nice review. I've got the same one, and yes it is a pain in the ass. If it were on properly it would be perfect, but if there is even one speck on the screen the first time you put it on you're screwed. Plus the edges peel up (which i cut off).

thanks... i feel your pain...

Dust-off??! Are you nuts? That might have been your problem.
This thing (compared to the Brando screen protector anyway) was fantastic. On in 30 seconds and it's beautiful. *shrug*

Dust-off to get the dust off the psp .... how does that make a difference?
you must be very gifted to get this peice on in 30 seconds...
+
I got mine on in < 1 minute. I guess panther and I are gifted :P
At least it doesn't melt your PSP like the power brick hehe.edited: Jul 08 2005

OK I GOT THE PERFECT SOLUTION FOR YOUR PSP TO BE FINGERPRINT FREE WHILE PLAYING IT. JUST WEAR RUBBER GLOVES. JUST A THEORY.

Reynen: Dust off is not made for plastic/acrylic (or your PSP!) Was just an FYI. This link is made for plastic...
I guess everyone has had different experiences with it. Seriously though it went on the first try perfectly, not exagerating at all. (While the Brando protector was applied the same way and was full of little air bubbles under it that were nearly impossible to smooth out).
Oscar: Trying to picture that! ROFL. Too funny.
+
im pretty sure that compressed air will blow the dust off of most things..... and any dust that was left behind.. ( barely any) was wiped off by my cloth
