To add a little bit:
There are about 5 maybe 6 beginner cars. I ended up switching to the elcipse and it made a world of difference. The change in gameplay was utterly remarkable. The 78 monte carlo I started with couldnt make turns to save its life and I thought it was just needing to be upgraded but it wasnt that. I should of known better then to pick it but I am somewhat biased to the car as I actually used to have one.
The glare I was referring to above can be contributed to fps and also choppyness but overall everything by itself has so much of a glare that the road looks like a mirror.
The game is glitchy as the can be delays while in gameplay when using sleepmode or hitting start/select. I have spotted a couple cars ( not racers ) seem to freeze up and then reappear down the road.
There are some really cool features in this game that bring that added effect similar to what you see in wipeout. During the game you can unlock special moves for your car. Last night I unlocked "zone" for a tuner car. This is the coolest feature ive ever seen in a racing game. What it does is throw the race into slow motion and you can make changes to correct any errors that can commonly happen when using nitro. When I say everything slows down I mean everything, even the music slows down.
The bato that helps you along your story line adds a nice touch to the game. He can pop up after big races and at other times in the game to surprise you too. So far he has kept the game exciting by throwing new ideas and obstacles my way.
After changing cars and unlocking some of the features the game is really starting to grow on me. I have to say as far as racing games goes this one is the best on the psp. The load times are not too bad once you get used to them, but I do suggest having something else to do while waiting. I personally play psp and watch tv at the same time so load times dont get to me.
