The PSP docking station lets you keep your PSP on the desktop for easy access, plus it charges the PSP in less than 2 hours (via USB cord supplied)
The cradle itself is made of a smoked plastic and in the middle there is an LED indicator which stays on all the time. I would think it would have been better if it just came on when the unit is fully charged, but still not a real big problem.
The PSP Docking station is ideal for the home or office. It holds the PSP at a very nice viewing angle for watching movies. The PSP itself fits snug enough so it should not fall out. Of course, serious bumps would make it fall, but for the average person I don't see this being any problem.
The one area it does come up short is that when the PSP sits in the docking station there is no access to the speaker plug. Or hence, the ability to plug different speakers up to the unit. It would have been nice if they had provided a little cutout at that point so that one could access the plug. Yes, you can make one yourself, but I feel it is something they should have done.
Overall, a good product, at a very affordable cost.
Ok, I can't figure out how the included USB/AC cable works! It doesnt seem to be charging my psp! The light come on in the dock, but the recharge light on the psp doesn't... anyone know??
Make sure the PSP is seated properly in the cradle. I have heard others have had troubles, but to be honest I really haven't had any trouble with it not charging the PSP, as long as I make sure to line it up right, so that the pins make contact. I have the wrist strap on mine, so sometimes that gets in the way of it sitting in properly, so I just have to make sure.
