For those of us who don't have the disposable income to dish out on a 1 or 2 GB memory stick, there IS an alternative.
For under $70, Sandisk offers a high capacity, high speed memory stick duo that comes in a fashionable blue color. (although many would argue the fact that the Memory Stick is hidden from sight)
Personally, 512 mb is the perfect amount of storage. You can store hundreds of songs, as well as your favorite TV shows, so you never get bored with what's on your PSP... and if you're a photo person, don't worry about losing space, there's plenty of room for all your pictures.
Quality wise, this is really great. Why pay so much more for the Sony Brand model when you can get this?
It's an amazing product that anyone would be happy with, and all for a price that you can handle. Great buy!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Amazon deal is a "Pre-Order", not an in-stock ready to ship item. I also don't think anyone who purchased their sony 1gb preorder from last April got theirs yet although they estimated it would ship end of May. So beware...

I went ahead and pre-ordered one though (is too good a deal to ignore). The fact that it's the Sony one that is this inexpensive, made me get this (the Sandisk one is $116.84!)
Now have two 1 gigs (sandisk and a sony), one 512 meg (sandisk), and the 32 meg (sony) it came with. (And plenty of movies to use them with). Weee!

Yes it's a preorder. Amazon is shipping them but it's 'first come, first served'. So it depends where you are in the queue. That's okay by me. I'll stick with my 256 for now and wait.

hey i bought tis Sandisk 512 mb card but when i put it ino my psp it formatted and left me with 468 and incase you math is not good that a 44 mb dif
does this happen to the sony card 2

i love all the sh*t coming for it like, cell phones,internet,wifi connections,cameras,controllers and keyboards and like 80 other things its so f*ing great dude
