Summary: Can you stop yourself?

In a world of faster, harder, bloodier and bolder games, Densha De Go is a game that urges you to, well, stop. Densha De Go is a very different type of game. You drive a train!

Getting your train to the right speeds without tossing your passengers around too much is a good challenge, to say the least. With excellent visuals and simple controls, this game takes actual video information from real train lines in Japan and let's you become the train engineer. For some, this may sound like a huge chore, but you are so wrong.

Trying to stop your train from 75 km/h in just a few hundred feet is a mighty ordeal. Forget trying to jump and shoot while strafing in a effort to save millions of lives - cute ladies are trying to get to school or work on time and it's up to you to get that done! Are you up to it?

While not original by any means, it's definitely a blast of an import. Pick up a copy from your local or online retailer and see how well you can STOP.

Pros
• Minimal Japanese Required
• Great Visuals, Real Video Footage
• Real train sounds
• Many trains and situations
• Includes Densha De Go + Train Simulator (for the hard-core types)
• Cute train attendent gives you feedback while you play
• See Japan in high speed
• Play something different for a change

Cons
• Japanese language may decrease full feel of the game
• Not for the weak tempered
• No guns, swords or magic

Can you at least run over people with your train? Unsuspecting people?

I have this!
It's great!
This is the first "game" I bought when I bought my Japanese PSP.
I really do not think of this as a game.

Unfortunately... you cannot simulate every thing.
If you go too fast, or try to wreak... there is no video footage to show that you wrecked.

I wish there was some way to download additional train lines and trains and timetables.

There is no way I could get into that game, but the visuals look amazing!

Yeah. I thought the same when doing our first Sim for NSW Rail.. How hard can it be to drive a train.. hehe woops. Took me 20 mins to figure out how to get all the brakes off.. and clutches engaged.. and such.. it turns out to be quite interesting. Im hoping this is something similar. I'd love to convince the train sim trainers to move to a portable 'on site' solution

This looks like fun! A great handheld type game, really. I never got into the concept on a PC, but on a handheld, sounds cool!

It looks like the "visuals" are, in fact, video footage of the tracks which is probably sped up/slowed down during gameplay. Would this be accurate?

They need bigger images on this site.

Yeah, when you slow down your train, they basically slow down the video
