Rapper DJay (Howard) works the angles to get his first record made, with help from assorted people in his Memphis 'hood. And when he hears that rap superstar Skinny Black (Ludacris) is heading to his area, he throws together a supreme hustle to grab Skinny's attention.
Actually i have to say, this is one of those movies you will either love or hate. I personally hate rap music and i pretty much hate everything it REALLY stands for, not what they *say* it stands for... *cough* Anyways, i cant stand to listen to it, or anything about it, but i watched this movie and i am glad i did. Its not a movie you can really watch more than once, like for me the Ring i could only see once, but they were both worth watching. Not paying 10 bucks at the movie theater, but if someone you know has it, or you can rent it and there isnt really anything else you really want to see, i would suggest giving it a try. Most people if they can get past the begining might start t kinda like it, maybe not... but you never know till you try right??
