Street Supremacy is a racing game featuring many licensed vehicles. The game is a team-based racer wherein players partake in 'five against five' knockout tournaments in one player mode or can use the PSP's wireless abilities to compete against a second player. In the two-player mode, players select a vehicle and race against the second player in a battle to be first past the winning post. The game's 'Team Battle' mode, however, ups the ante considerably and sets a fiercely competitive challenge.

Street Supremacy's 'Team Battle' mode divides the game map into 15 areas, with teams vying to dominate the game map. The battles are further split into individual races between the different Teams and individual racers, with points awarded for each victory. Players can then judge who to select against specific rivals, cherry-picking their rivals from the player roster as they look to seize territories. The 'Team Battle' also encourages competition within each team, as winning racers are upgraded in their side's rankings and become more instrumental in helping secure areas of the game map.

In addition to Street Supremacy's stunning racing action, the PSP game's cars can also be modified to give you an edge in the races. The game's authentically modelled Nissans, Mitsubishis and Subarus can all be enhanced with new exhausts, engine upgrades and body kits. These all prove vital in shaving seconds off the lap times, while stickers and fancy lights can be used to enhance the car's aesthetics, adding a layer of gloss to an already entertaining racer.

ADD TO WISHLIST I HAVE IT Other PSP Racing Games

This was actually a japanese launch game ( or launch window), so its not new I've played it and its fun but the game has massive slowdown ( still very pretty and shiny though)

P.S. this game is also known as Tokyo Extreme Racer.

I bought this game ages ago from japan (shutoku battle). It has awsome graphics, best of all my games. The only down side is that you don't take many turns as its more of a highway racing thing...ie tokyo extreme racer. Cars are realistic and have a variety of tuning parts and adjustments like Gran Turismo.

It is, as folks already mentioned, it is the Japanese version Shutoku Battle. It is pretty much the same as on the PS2 version, except you cannot "tour" around the highway and look for your opponent to race. On the PSP version, you choose the section of highway you want to race, then you will be racing in that section. Anyway, overall, it is kinda fun game as a portable version, if you don't mind the absence of the part "touring" around Tokyo highways.

Hmmm... I wonder if this is the same game that was released in Japan... named Shutoku Battle or Tokyo Extreme Racer?
Hmmm... maybe if I read other people's posts before I posted, I might know if it is true or not.

Street Supremcy aka Shutouku Battle: Zone of Control aka Tokyo Extreme Racer: Zone of Control made by Genky published by Konami. Konami is distributing the game in the US using a different name. Similar to how Capcom releases GTA in japan for Take Two (they own Rockstar). This to remove confusion. Shutouku Battle has something like infrastructure mode in japan. I'm doubtful Konami would go through all the trouble.

Tokyo Extreme Racer
Tokyo Extreme Racer 2
Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero
Tokyo Extreme Racer 3
the first two are Dreamcast titles
the last two are PS2 titles
the first import tuning game. way before midnight club and underground.
and yet more realistic.
the games are so on point that as move up sequels, there isn`t much change except for more road and the addition of lisenced vehicle brands this is all because it mostly was without fault the first time
there are PS2 title that are graphically worse than DC ver.

I actually had this game for one day. This game sucks. Much worst than the Tokyo Extreme Racer series. Now "Street Supremacy"? A terrible name for a terrible game.
