How can I find out how many IP Addresses my modem can handle??

I need to get this because my mom doesn't want to get a wireless network. Almost my whole neighborhood has routers and Im tired of looking for signals from people from their houses and then losing the connection.

Macncheese... It is a USB device that acts as a wireless access point, using your PCs internet connection. I assume it works for any wireless devices... Probably only 802.11b

yo......... i bought this
and u should consider this because of its simplicity and fucntion man.
considerin how "EASY" it is to install this along with it's price tag,
i say its head over heals then buying a router..(think of all the you would have to go throug to set it up as well)
on the other hand,
for this piece of beauty,
all you have to do is, buy, install..then your set.

Anyone notice how it says "Five times faster than normal wiif"?

Well...

PSP uses 802.11b which is 11mbit... My router 802.11g is 54mbit....

Internet cable modems are anywhere from 1 to 10mbit (home consumer level)....

So if the internet isnt as fast as the wifi, then there's nothing any device could do to make it faster. Likewise if the PSP uses B, that means it's slower than my G devices...

As a person who does this for a living, I dont see how it can do that in any possible way.

Right on all counts yoyo_pete. It sounds like marketing hoo-ha to me. This thing may be 802.11g (I'm not sure), but since the PSP isn't they must just assume we're all idiots.
