I like the concept. I think it would play on dial-up since the article reads "any internet enabled pc." I know I can always buy a router but that would mean a wireless card for my pc, which would be even more dough outa the pocket.
i know someone who owns this bad boy. it really is better for those of us who have little to no patience to build a wireless network. it can use dialup, but the beauty of this thing is the tranfer of files wirelessly not that it acts a psp mini-router. it builds a server on your computer enabling to download video and mp3s through your browser. is this better than a router? depends on you. i just ordered one based on it's performance, 'cause it really is fast. it uses usb 2.0 to the fullest and is compatible with the DS as well. so in summation, want to go wireless with the psp but don't want to buy the router and network cards, build a server, and set up a psp download page get this instead.
If this is easy to set up, I will definitly get it. I've had a hell of a time setting up a wireless router, and when i played SOCOM online using the wireless connection at my mates house it was absolutely amazing!
I thought this would be a good product... but, after reading some people's comments here, I took their advice and bought a regular wireless router for MUCH cheaper.

A quick question?? I have a wifi router downstairs and the computer in my room is connected to this router, allthough the signal is really quite bad. This mwans that my psp cant really connect well when I try to connect to the internet in my room. Now if I get this dongle and plug it into the computer in my room , will it amplyfy the signal for my computer and PSP??

yo! dat thing is tyt... so does it access you to surf on d web WHENEVER u r.. like,, wen ur on d mall or sumwer else... coz if it does... ahm gona buy one...wei how much does it cost????
if you read into it.... you wont be able to go online " on d mall or sumwer else.." it only works for 30 feet. so if you wanna say play socom in your room this is a great thing to have or wanna check your email any where in your house. now for people who have not tried going on aim on ur psp..it doesn't work... but why would you want to do that on ur psp anyways. the main thing i think people should get this is if they like to game online alot and dont have a wireless router.
i got mine in the mail today and it works great. the only thing is my modem only handled one ip address so i needed to call my cable service and they added a second ip address to my account for 4 dollars and everything works perfect.i set up my connection on the psp and the wifi max was right there 100% connection and online i went
