sadly, this game doesnt look THAT bad

Why must THQ rape the PSP with kiddie crap? The PSP isn't a toy for preschoolers, but a gaming machine with a paycheck. What kind of gamer would play that crap in the first place?

Many adults, including myself enjoy the surrealist humor of Spongebob, certainly it has a niche market outside of children (Similar to those who liked Ren and Stimpy). I believe your remarks are unwarranted, as many "kids" have a PSP and would enjoy Spongebob as well as many adults who have a PSP (And happen to enjoy good cartoons.) Until you play the game do not make austere judgments, merely to suit your own personal bias.

kids love it , i rememeber being thrown in the back of a car with a gba so everyone else can have a hour or two of silence on long road trips.
I bet a few million parents a praising thq

arsamore, I've tried watching that show and games based off it. They sucked. The only way any of it made me remotely laugh was when I ate a nickle bag of dope before hand. Now Ren and Stimpy can make me piss myself when I'm sober. Spongebob doesn't even do that.
+
you need to watch the sketch bob episode.

heh.....spongebob is todays answer to ren and stimpy....but look at the ren and stimpy games that came out years ago on SNES...yeah they sucked!

Well, I know a spoiled kiddie who gets whatever he feels like, and maybe he'll get a PSP on a whim, eventually, too.

How come little kid games come out on a 250 dollar machine?

I liked the first season of Spongebob, before it got stupid, and I liked Ren and Stimpy, but these two cartoons are on two different playing fields, humor wise.

tubtak and sabledrakon,
I'm ashamed of you guys...how can you be so dense? Do you not know WHY they brought SpongeBob out???? It's because of MONEY. Look, some spoiled kiddie is going to scream bloody murder to get that game and a poor parent will plunk down 250 (plus game) for it. Sony wants to sell some number of these and they'll do anything to get it on record...even strike deals with branding like Spongebob. - this is my opinion, I could be wrong...but I think I'm hitting in the ballpark area of truth.
(I'm so kidding about the "dense" part...that's sarcasm)

Well apparantly sabledrakon you represent a small minority, as obviously THQ sees this as a money making endeavor...
Also the past Sponge Bob games have been excellent platformers in many ways superior to most alternatives. Just because you do not enjoy the subject matter does not mean other individuals do not. Futhermore, it also does not mean that the games are not quality products. As far as platformers on the PSP go, this could take the hat, if it replicates Battle for Bikini Bottom or The Movie (game), which were both excellent games (as far as platformers go). For example link ( better than most if not all PSP platformers... and a well recieved game on all three consoles.)

the ren and stimpy game was quality fun, it was a good-humoured game, and we are talking about the snes, back when thats what made a good game. for its time it was a good game.
+
I see kids all the time with PSP's. I was at the post office yesterday and a 9 year old-ish kid was playing one. and the $250 machine comment was ignorant. Rich parents spend that on a pair of pants for their daughters, why not on a game machine?

Yes, I know it's about the money. That's part of the reason it pisses me off.
