I rented this game, and I got it for Christmas. I'm not sure if I want to keep it or take it back to store to get Kingdom of Paradise instead. When I rented it, I didn't get an instruction manual so I can only "win" if I let the computer fight for me. I didn't know what to freaking do when I tried to fight for myself. Game seems fun, but learning curve is WOW. I guess I will look online for an instruction manual somewhere. That way I can play it better, and see do I want to actually keep it..

yes it is free action fighting if you choose that style. in your armored core their is also an AI system that u can fine tune with operations chips that tell the ac what to do in the fight for a certain amount of time. for example if you put a chip that programs the AI to dodge missiles for the first 30 seconds then it will do so in the fight. you can also customize his style of movemts he will prioritize such as running or dashing.

i enjoy the game alot.. but i truely do miss the missions they used to have in Armored Core 1 and 2 for PS2..

The game started a bit slow but once i made a really good mech and A.I. for it, i focused on trying to play against and destroy it.
i give it like a 8 of 10
