Updated version of the original Armored Core Formula Front, with playable mechs, part of the new "PSP The Best" series of cut-priced games recently released in Japan. Limited English menus for non-Japanese speakers/readers. STEEP learning curve, but amazing graphics & sound.

How can you get a decent start with the PSP version as you've already experienced your "first steps into the Armored Core world"? Haven't you already had a start, albeit crappy? You can't start the same thing twice. That's just crazy!

I agree with bigpimpin, its a great game I like the soundtrack and the ability to change the look and abiliities of the mech. I just think that some of the people that review the games want to pick a popular game instead of taking a chance on liking something different.

I got this a week ago and I'm really impressed with it. It's not the type of game I can play for twenty minutes on the subway, though. Even with the AI vs manual worked out for this version, the majority of this game is fine-tuning and testing your AC. It looks amazing, and battling is really fun, so I'll be playing this for a while. Being able to compare stats for different parts is an excellent feature, and I love how you can design your own team logo and get really in-depth with the color scheme. AC was one of my favorites for the PS1 and it's fast becoming one of my favorites for the psp.
