Blade Dancer is a PSP exclusive 3D role playing game, which is among the first of this genre to adopt a dynamic multi-player system. Set in the fantasy world of Lunadia, a place that in the distant past had seen a fierce battle rage between the Evil Demon Lord and the Guardian of Light – Blade Dancer Gerald. Evil was defeated, but the mysterious circumstances of the victory and the subsequent disappearance of the Blade Dancer had long been forgotten in the annals of history.
Playing as our intrepid hero Lance, a young and brave adventurer, you arrive on the Island of Foo – rumoured to be the place where the Demon Lord had been sealed. What you find here, along with the people you encounter, will re-open the past and hold the key to the fate of the world.

Can you say Kingdom of paradise all over again, not for sure. But from the looks of it might be simular!!!!!!

Looks more like a traditional turn based RPG. Could be the answer to my prayers, hope it's as good as it looks.

you did see the feature that says "Unique real time battle system (Not turn based)" right?

Yeah... For all the people who asked or said it was turned based... I dont think it is.
+
probably just confused from the IGN preview or something...
Both the characters in your party and the monsters have to wait their turn as a gauge rotates clockwise before you can launch an attack or use your skills, known as Lunabilities
i think this means it's "timer-based"

Which would make it more like PSO. Which would have pretty big shoes to fill, graphically - I don't know what PSO version some folks here have played, but on the DC it looks awesome. After the grind set in and the relative monotony of the monster hacking/item selling etc, the visuals were pretty much what kept the game worth playing.

Looks turn-based to me...even though it's apparently not.
+
its more like turn-based design, but there inst any turns, kinda looks like you select an option as fast as you can, or its like time based somehow

GameSpot said: "Also, unlike most RPGs, Blade Dancer doesn't automatically queue up the next character's command window when they're ready. Instead, you'll see a meter for each character indicating how close they are to readiness, but once the meter is filled, you'll have to actively select them to access their command list and issue an action."
