impact isnt the problem, did u see the video w/ those asian kids throwing the psp on the road ,hitting it w/ bats, and it still worked, i think they broke it when the ran it over
Both sides of the argument are even. This is all opinionated anyway. But for argument sake I have to agree that a hard case is the better way to go, unless the soft case can provide stability inside the case (a hard inner shell for protection). The only way to do this is to make the inside layer soft as a pillow, the center as hard as steel and the exterior soft again.
I have mine and it's awesome. IF you paranoid about the disc holders scratching your psp put a cloth over it. the disc holders probably wont scratch it though. Soft cases are worse than Hard cases WITH a hard inside. I dropped my psp inside the case from 4 feet + and it came out fine. With a soft case..err...
