I'm betting Best Buy won't stock something that requires you to open your PSP, modify it and void your warranty.

Someone actually paid good money for this? They must be rich and have a clean room in their basement. How else can you avoid getting all the lint that would inevitably enter the PSP during the install process. I wish I could afford this thing though, if I could I'd probably buy the datel hd and the neoflash adapter first.

Will this thing allow you to use the dual shock's double joystick for games that would benefit from it, like fpses?

You don't need a clean room to open your PSP, viqd753. I just put a Liquid Silver Faceplate on mine. A while ago I also put a front light on my first GBA. A humidifier, or even just a hot shower can put out enough moisture to get the lint out of the air. Wait another few minutes for the moisture to dissapate, and you're good. It works for putting the Hori screen filters on as well.

If I'm playing games on my TV, though, I'd still rather use my PS2 (or other home console). Better resolution and many more games are available. And I don't buy UMD movies. They cost more than DVD's and there aren't as many available. It's not hard at all to rip a DVD and convert it for use on the PSP. Plus, many, many movies are wider than the 16x9 that the UMD movies I've seen come in.

I'm sure there are a lot of people out there that don't care about any of that. I for one wouldn't open my PSP to put this on, and not be able to use any of my cases with it. With the cost of this thing and a PSP you'll spend more than you did if you bought a PS2 at launch, and it doesn't even support component video. I guess it would be ugly anyway at PSP resolution.

I got this thing and am very disappointed. Installation was complicated. After an hour of trying I couldn't insert LCD connector into that new printboard. I decided to just connect it to TV and see how it looks. OUCH! The image on TV is blocky, discolored and pixelated. I decided it was not worth it, put everything in my PSP back as it was and packed PSP2TV in it's box. If anybody wants to give it a try - I'll sell it for $30. Enough to buy enother game for myself.

I got mine today. Nicely packaged. A very elegantly engineered product. The install was a little challenging. Some of the components and screws are so tiny. It took about an hour. Be careful! You can easily break some of the more delicate stuff inside the PSP. Hooked itup to my projector and 110" screen. Awesome! I like it!
