The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 enables you to capture video content for the Sony PSP from any analog video source, including cable or satellite television, DVD players, VCRs, camcorders, and PVRs such as Tivo.
The video content is saved as MPEG-4 video files, eliminating the hassle of proprietary file formats. Utilizing standard Memory Sticks, you can record content on a card for viewing on your TV, or transfer that content onto your PSP.
Roughly the size of a PDA device, the Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 hooks up to your existing home theater components, and allows you to view still photos on your TV or listen to MP3 audio files through your stereo. Additional features include upgradeable firmware for future functionality expansion.

There's lots of software to convert DVD into MPEG 4, I use PSP Movie Creator, and have converted most of my DVD collection. I can get up to 3-4 DVDs' on my I GIG stick.
Also, I can't see anywhere on the site that says it accepts memory Stick. Just Compact Flash and SD."
It say memory stick TWICE in the paragraph and does not mention SD card once
Utilizing standard Memory Sticks and Compact Flash (CF) or Microdives as the storage medium
Memory Stick or CF Storage card required but not included.

Actually, if you look on the official site rather than what someone on here as wrote in that paragraph it doesn't mention memory sticks. Here's the info from them which states CF and SD cards, NOT memory stick:
"The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder enables you to effortlessly capture content from any analog video source, including cable or satellite television, DVD players, VCRs, camcorders, and PVRs such as Tivo™. The video content is saved as MPEG-4 video files, eliminating the hassle of proprietary file formats. Utilizing standard Compact Flash (CF) or Secure Digital (SD) memory cards as the storage medium, you can record content on a card for viewing on your TV, or transfer that content onto your PC, Laptop, PDA, SmartPhone or portable media player. Roughly the size of a PDA device, the Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder hooks up to your existing home theater components, and allows you to view still photos on your TV or listen to MP3 audio files through your stereo. Additional features include a USB 2.0 connection to enable fast file transfers, and upgradeable firmware for future functionality expansion. No PC Required. CF or SD Storage card required but not included."

Hi guys. Do you know how do the TV signal (cable) gets in the box ? Does it encode in real time, in super-fine quality ?

I will try to answer a few questions:
You connect the recorder like a VCR. It has RCA cables (red, yellow and white) that you connect to the video source. Most TV are only receivers, so you need to connect the recorder to your cable box, DVD etc.
It is real time recording (like a VCR).
We have 2 types of recorders, thus the confusion for the specs, one for handhelds (SD and CF slot) and the new one for the PSP (Memory Stick and CF slot).

Johan,
Are there any plans to produce a neuros with 3 drives (CF, SD, memory stick) or one with a SD/memory stick combination? I have peripherals that use all 3 storage mediums and I'd hate to buy one for my psp and another neuors for my other devices that use a SD card.

We have talked about a device that would have 3 drives, but nothing concrete yet.
Ilikebans: you are looking at the recorder 1 page which is a different version of the recorder (for handhelds). The recorder 2 page has memory stick and CF slots.

Meh. I don't like that this limits you to the size of a Microdrive or memory stick, and I don't see how you can program it to record shows. It seems to me that any computer with a TV capture card and some free PSP video conversion software would do a better job for less money. Sadly, it seems that anything they can do to improve this device and make it more useful will have to drive the price up too high.

i want it if i was rich i get it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

I don't think its worth it if ur only gonna rip DVDs with it. Pretty useful if u wanna rip a few programs off the SKY plus box tho !!!! (Or TiVo to all ur americans)

Well I went ahead and ordered this, I have gotten tired of ripping DVD's or movies which were recorded via digital cam, onto VCR tapes for mom to watch. She has no idea and after over a month of explaining how to work the dvd it has been a fruitless attempt.
So with this it might be easy for me to copy a movie onto a mem stick and then have her just stick it in and press play.
I would rather just have a removable HD thats loaded with movies in the mp4 format, which I can just place onto a card to watch via PSP or this device on a TV.
