The Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 enables you to capture video content for the Sony PSP from any analog video source, including cable or satellite television, DVD players, VCRs, camcorders, and PVRs such as Tivo.

The video content is saved as MPEG-4 video files, eliminating the hassle of proprietary file formats. Utilizing standard Memory Sticks, you can record content on a card for viewing on your TV, or transfer that content onto your PSP.

Roughly the size of a PDA device, the Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 hooks up to your existing home theater components, and allows you to view still photos on your TV or listen to MP3 audio files through your stereo. Additional features include upgradeable firmware for future functionality expansion.

Sounds AMAZING. That is, before a price has been given. Which will probably be very high.

this will be cool, hope it's as simple as using a VCR, ohh, better yet you could use a vcr to record you shows, and pause out the commercials then record to memory without having to stop the vcr and do something else more productive...

What are you all thinking?

From what the website states this machine is very limited:

No croping
No subtitles
No start and finish times
No color correction
No AVC/h.264
Only Real Time Encoding

Why spend $150 on hardware, when $35 worth of software does a better job and at 300% the speed. goto link

I dont understand you lot???

That software does not allow you to convert original DVD's to MPEG4. You still need a DVD burner to do that where as this mpeg4 recorder allows you to just bung in any of your original DVD's and just press record.

There's lots of software to convert DVD into MPEG 4, I use PSP Movie Creator, and have converted most of my DVD collection. I can get up to 3-4 DVDs' on my I GIG stick.

Also, I can't see anywhere on the site that says it accepts memory Stick. Just Compact Flash and SD.
