Dude, the price is $74.49... but still expensive!

Sure makes good stuff. These are probably worth the $$$

Got mine for $57 on eBay. There was a deal a few months ago from buy.com for $60. A steal at those prices...very good quality, but be warned, many don't like the fit of "sound isolating" in-ear phones (gives you a "plugged up ear" feeling). I bought them specifically for sound isolation on plane rides. Shure just came out with a version of these specifically for portable gaming devices ("e2g, e3g and e5g" ), from specsheets they look like the exact same technology as the "c" versions, but they are colored black and probably won't be cheaper than the C's for awhile since they are "new".edited: Nov 01 2005

Then looks are deceiving because they don't.

Anyone that knows even a little about quality earphones, knows these are some of the best for their price. I paid roughly $60 on ebay and I love them. It took me a while to get used to them considering the foam inserts get dirty fast and the clear plastic ones hurt me. I use the rubber flex ones now and they feel great. Trust me, you won't go back to those cheapo $20 headphones after using these... well at least I wouldn't.

 Own it
These are the best for the price range ($100). If you want more bass I suggest moving up to the e3c or even e4c's, the e4c's will blow your mind away. You can get a pair on eBay for around $250. Remember that the retail on the e4c's are $400! Just remeber to take your time and read the instructions that come with these phones, most people take them back because they think that they dont fit right....well READ THE DIRECTIONS on ensuring a proper fit! Overall SHURE has a great product! Great for the PSP!

having used them for over 6 months on a nearly daily basis while running (psp powers the soundtracks) spinning (powers the movies/news) or just while relaxing and playing games, these do deliver...but be warned the isolation of sound is nowhere near the quality of the ETYMOTIC er-4 P...those list for $299 sell for $189 and have well over triple the sound isolation. The tradeoff is when running outside you do need to hear a little bit. so the SHure e2c's are a bit better. Also the stereophonic response (like a doctors stethoscope) is a bit difficult to get used to but some work w/ a pin and the shirt clip removes that problem. The sound response is quite natural and far far better isolation of sound for noisy areas at low listening levels which actually protect your hearing...than say.. a $300 pair of battery powered headphones...sorry Koss/Denon fans...these are in a class all their own.

I have to say you are the cheapest people I have ever seen. I had these but I gave them away, I liked the Etymotic's better, the e2's had no lowend no matter how good the seal is, you get what you pay for, for quality audio you have to break atleast the 120.00 mark for earphones.

<--sound designer, no price is too much when it comes to being able to hear the detail in my work.

exactly, at least some people understand, dj myself

these are great headphones...they can found under 100 bucks at your local circuit city or best buy store... only gripe i have with em is that the bass isnt as heavy as i thought it wouldve been. however, the clarity is so good that if you are playing mp3's at lower than 192kbps ....these earphones will reveal the mp3 weakness of havin been compressed.
