Well look at the thing. Have you gone to the website?
First of all, you plug the audio into the headphone jack. You can see that in the picture. You guys have to go to the website. The video quality seems to be horrible at best. They took some pictures of the image on a TV screen and gave fifteen reasons as to why the picture might not look good. I assume it has an svideo or composite output, why didn't they just use a capture card? Because it looks worse than it does in the pictures. It's just a crappy camera taking video of the screen... crappy
I'd like to see an image or mpeg from a capture card off this thing. I bet it sucks bad. If not, if it looks good... I'll buy two of them.edited: Oct 20 2005

grimjack said: "so.. audio. If you want to watch a movie on your tv with this thing it doesn't say anything about having any audio adapters or hookups of any kind.
Big picture, little tinny audio. Bleh.
actually, looking at the photo's it looks like it uses the serial connection from the remote slot, so you'd probably be out of luck for audio connects as well. If this isn't the case then the least they could do is put together a site which isn't all about slamming the competition and actually lists some useful info."
There's RCA audio connectors on the back where the video conenctors are. Why else do you think they are connecting to the headphone jack?

They have a sample page out now. Check it out - link
Don't know why they didn't save it as a downloadable wmv, ram or mov file......
GB
Edit...
Spoke to soon... downloadable avi files here - link
Edit....
I thought the quality would suck... but from looking at the video I just downloaded.. it looks good...Maybe if they made a higher quality vid I might have a different opinion.
Edit.......
Just saw all 3 vids.. decreased the default window size to half the size (looks clearer now)... and it looks really nice. Conversion from the psp to tv really looks sharp.. was even able to read the text on the tv
Tooo many edits...edited: Oct 20 2005

I wish those guys would buy a better camera. The screen shots look crappy but thats not because of the device, the TV and background look like crap too. still though, very fugly device

samuelk said: "This has got to be the worst idea for a PSP-to-TV product yet. Big, bulky and very "ghetto". The thing basically captures an image of the screen (including scratches and marks on the screen surface) and sends it to your TV. It doesn't get its video signal directly from the PSP hardware."
What in the hell do you mean by ghetto? What makes a product 'ghetto'? Do you know what a real ghetto is?

Quality still looks like crap. Looks like those movie rips where the guy sits in the back of the theater with a trenchcoat and a handycam- color looks like crap. I hope it's just because of the shots they've shown us.
I still ask... why don't they release a video that is not displayed on a tv. I'm sure someone from that crew has a capture card. It would be very easy and settle the whole thing. I say it's because the video looks like dog crap. I sure won't buy one until I have a legitimate video. I think they are trying to sham us.

I see a cord hooking to the headphone adapter . .I think that that bulky part on the screen has a long cord with audio and video outputs so the sound is sent to the TV or VCR . .or however you hook your game consoles to your home theatre. Im looking forward to this . . but if its heavy im not getting it . . think about it . .if you holding that thing playing games after a awhile you would get irrated with all that weight . .but whatever, we will see in afew days when its released.

And people laughed when months ago I suggested "...aim a TV camera at your PSP..."
Well, they were right to laugh. I was joking. This thing is a joke.
